Your wino friend is having you over and you are tired of bringing the regular bottle of wine as a thank you? Rewined Candles make a great hostess gift. They are nicely packaged, evoke wine, and show the wine lover that you were thinking about his/her interests. To boot, they are a good conversation piece. After all, what does chardonnay smell like?
Aromatics are such a fun part of a wine tasting and now Rewined candles has brought that “oh, I smell honeysuckle!” element to candles. While a confessed wine lover, I at first thought “what cute packaging, but I don’t know if I want my house smelling like a bottle of cabernet.” Fortunately, my worries were for not. While visiting my parents in Fairfax, VA I went into a great home design store called the Nest Egg that had a large display of several different Rewined “varietals” from Cabernet Sauvignon to Riesling. There I had the chance to sniff and unearth the “aromatics” of the candles as one would a glass of wine. Thankfully, these candles are not overpowering, they are all pleasant, and won’t make your house smell like an oak barrel. I would say on average the “whites” tend to be more floral and feminine in their scent and the “reds” are more earthy and masculine.
I hope you find this hostess gift handy! What are some of your favorite hostess gifts to give? Leave me a comment.
