As a stay-at-home-mom to two young children, I aspire to have a life(style) that is well balanced. That glass of wine at the end of a crazed day spent running after my two young children is a glass full of relaxation that I am sure many of you can relate to. I am happy to share my enthusiasm with my readers. Swirl, sip, sigh.

My Story

I first fell in love with wine when I moved to NYC after college. I remember being a first year Analyst going to happy hour at the local bar with colleagues. For the first time, I started thinking about different types of wines and asking myself if I liked them. After many happy hour laughs, my days of wine were truly uncorked when I moved abroad to Paris. There I learned the nuances of when the French drink, which types of wines they choose for a particular occasion / meal and the daily pleasure a swirl and a sip could bring.

I was fortunate enough to befriend a wine enthusiast who owns his own wine tasting company and wine bar in Paris. I spent a few months watching his wine tasting classes. Here I learned about French wine regions, varietals, special vintages and methods of tasting. I was enthralled and my days of exploring wine began!

I love wine and take wine industry education classes at the International Wine Center in Manhattan. Most recently I completed the Wine & Spirits Education Trust Level 3 Advance Certificate in January 2016. Before becoming a mother I graduated from UNC Chapel Hill with a BS in Business Administration and a BA in French. I then lived abroad in Paris and French-speaking Switzerland for 5 years where my affinity for wine expanded and I was lucky to intern at O-Chateau Wine Tasting while living in Paris I had the good fortune to pursue my love of everything French and completed a Masters in French Cultural Studies.
